ABMANAN BIOMEDICAL SDN. Ltd. (ABSB) is a family-based SME company, which was registered on 24 April 2014 and started operating on 1 June 2016. The company produces Haruan extract as the main ingredient, a bioactive compound in every Haruan Biomedical Product (HBP) . Abdull Manan Mat Jais (AMMJ) is the Founder and Project Leader of ABSB with a core business of manufacturing and commercializing HBP. All products are for domestic, ASEAN, Regional and Global. It specifically targets the Halal global market. At the same time, the company will never stop pursuing R&D to improve every aspect of production, safety and effectiveness.
HARUAN MANAN EXTRACT (HM EXTRACT)
HM Extract is the main result of R&D drug discovery on Haruan Channa striatus carried out since 1985 , by Prof. Abdull Manan Mat Jais, now retired Professor of Biomedical Sciences, Department of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia.
Haruan (Snakehead) is a freshwater fish, a native species of Malaysia and an indisputable traditional medicine that induces quick recovery after childbirth.
HM Extract is obtained from fillets (meat and skin) of Haruan Channa striatus through a proprietary SOP, pressurized water extraction (PIWE) without using any toxic organic solvents.
HARUAN BIOMEDICAL PRODUCT (HBP)
After successfully capturing & preserving the essential biochemistry of Haruan Channna striatus in HM Extract, the company then went a step further by formulating a product, and it was named Haruan Biomedical Product (HBP). In each formulation contains a physiological dose of HM effective to use biomedical properties.
It justifies the main objective of R&D drug discovery from Haruan to explore and best exploit fish to become or be made "bio-wealth". It is to reiterate or reinstate the importance of Channa striatus as food, a good source of protein, and above all to highlight the biomedical properties of fish, as ethno-pharmacology; the basis for discovering the potential and for developing products that take advantage of or utilize the medicinal value of natural products.
Each HBP not only contains HM Extract as the main ingredient but is a SIGNATURE INGREDIENT.
